IMPACT ARTISTS’ GALLERY FINE ART EXHIBITION
“ART HEALING and MENTAL HEALTH”-2008
This is a month long fine art exhibition by artists and non-artists
with free workshops and presentations in the
creative artists, drama, dance, music and art therapists from the community.
The exhibition may be viewed during
regular gallery hours Wednesday – Friday 11-4 and Saturdays 1-4.
Please call the gallery if there is inclement weather.
SATURDAY AFTERNOONS IN FEBRUARY @ IMPACT
February 2: 1:30 PM -4:PM Opening Reception
Viewing of art, a chance to meet and mingle with the Artists, and enjoy
Refreshments.
Jamie Kabala, artist, art teacher and member of the group Equinox, classic
jazz with a modern edge, and several
members will entertain with their Music.
Travis Widrick teacher of Tango at Shakti Yoga Studio on Sunday Evenings,
and host of monthly Saturday dances, will
demonstrate this healing Tango Dance and give a basic tango class.

February 9:
1:30 PM
Veronica Federiconi Executive Director of Autistic Services will speak about
the many ways the process of art helps
autistic clients. Following this talk, autistic clients will perform a drum
circle in front of their impressive panel of artwork.
2:00 PM
Eileen Hothow MS, CRC Board Certified Art Therapist and Supervisor of
Creative Edge Arts Studio will discuss how
individuals Recovering from Mental Illness or Addiction use expressive arts
to promote and enhance their recovery
process. Some clients will discuss their art exhibited in the show.
February 16:
1:30 PM
This will be a presentation on drama and healing by Mary Kate O’Connell. She
established Cabaret in the Square Theatre
5 years ago and presents a full season of musicals, revues, cabarets,
concerts, plays and murder mysteries. O’Connell &
Company also offers acting and creative drama classes for adults and
children.
3:00 PM Dance demonstration and Lesson with Patty McGuire.and Mike Urban.
These presenters give classes 7 p.m.
Wednesdays, no partner required at St.Patrick’s Episcopal Church,
Cheektowaga. 628-7253. They also host monthly
dances at the VFW Post on Spring St,
TBA: Taoist Tai Chi, Demonstration and Participation
February 23:
1:30 PM
Ralph Sirianni MS, teacher, artist, muralist, uses Art with his Veteran
Hospital clients, and is a sketch artist for the Buffalo
Area Police. Over the past years he did all the sketches of the Bike path
rapist. He will give a presentation discussing the
art exhibited in the show by his client’s and himself and his work with the
Police.
3pm Community Drumming Circle facilitated by Elaine Krempholtz
Bring your drums or small instruments, some will be provided. Drum or dance
to the trance like rhythm, meditation in
motion or use the art supplies provided to create art inspired by the music.

Size:
Hung works may not exceed 60 inches
in width. Sculpture must be no larger than
three feet in diameter and 60 pounds.
Maximum weight for shipping container
with art 80 pounds.
Assembly:
All two-dimensional work must be ready
to hang. Where applicable 1) plexiglass
must be used and 2) suitably framed.
Commission:
30% to Impact Artists’ Gallery on all
sales
Handling Fee:
$15 / shipped container
Return Shipping:
Return shipping must be prepaid and the official pre-paid label enclosed with art.
Shipping insurance is the responsibility of the artist.
Packaging:
No loose peanuts allowed in packing or carton will be returned unexhibited.
